Martin Skoula Autographs
Martin Skoula is a retired Czech professional ice hockey defenseman who played over 700 games in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on October 28, 1979, in Litvinov, Czechoslovakia, Skoula began his hockey career at a young age. He was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the first round, 17th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
Skoula made his NHL debut with the Avalanche during the 1998-99 season, playing in 72 games and contributing 19 points in his rookie season. He went on to have a successful career, playing for five different teams over 11 seasons. His best season came in 2005-06 with the Minnesota Wild, where he had 29 points in 81 games. Throughout his career, Skoula was known for his strong defensive play and physicality on the ice.
After playing in the NHL, Skoula continued his hockey career in Europe. He played in the Czech Extraliga and the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) until his retirement in 2019. Throughout his career, Skoula represented the Czech Republic in several international competitions, including three Olympic Games. He was a member of the bronze medal-winning Czech team at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. Martin Skoula will be remembered as a skilled and reliable defenseman who left his mark on the game of hockey.
