Mattias Norstrom Autographs
Mattias Norstrom is a former professional ice hockey player from Sweden. He was born on November 2, 1972, in Sweden and grew up playing the sport. Norstrom began his professional career with Modo in the Swedish Hockey League in 1991, where he played for five seasons. In 1996, he was drafted by the New York Rangers in the second round and made his NHL debut in the 1997-98 season.
Over the course of his 14-year NHL career, Norstrom played for the New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, and Dallas Stars. He was known for his physical play, strong leadership skills, and defensive abilities. Norstrom was named captain of the Kings in 2001, a position he held until his trade to Dallas in 2007.
Norstrom represented Sweden in several international competitions, including the Olympics and World Championships. He won a silver medal at the 2003 World Championships and a gold medal at the 2006 Olympics. In 2008, Norstrom announced his retirement from professional hockey, finishing his career with 695 regular season games played, 18 goals, and 133 assists.
