After several seasons in the Canadiens organization, Lapierre was traded to the Anaheim Ducks midway through the 2010-2011 season. He later played for the Vancouver Canucks, St. Louis Blues, Pittsburgh Penguins, and finally, the Swedish team Modo Hockey before retiring in 2018. Lapierre was primarily known for his aggressive playing style, and had a reputation as an effective pest and agitator on the ice. He was also known for his faceoff skills, often serving as a key penalty killer for his teams.

Throughout his NHL career, Lapierre played in 614 regular season games and scored 65 goals and 77 assists for a total of 142 points. He also played in 67 playoff games and contributed six goals and 12 assists. Lapierre was one of the rare players to have won both a Memorial Cup (as a member of the Victoriaville Tigres in 2002) and a Stanley Cup (as a member of the 2009-2010 Chicago Blackhawks). With his unique playing style and versatile skillset, Lapierre made a significant impact on the ice throughout his career. Read even more about Maxim Lapierre at Wikipedia
