Michel Goulet Autographs
Michel Goulet was born on April 21, 1960, in Quebec City, Canada. He started playing hockey at a very young age and joined the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's (QMJHL) Quebec Remparts in 1976. Goulet made quite an impression in his QMJHL debut, scoring two goals in the first game itself. He spent three seasons with the Remparts, scoring 331 points in 167 games, and winning the QMJHL scoring title in his final season.
Goulet was selected by the Birmingham Bulls in the 1979 WHA Draft and by the Quebec Nordiques in the NHL Draft the following year. He chose to sign with the Nordiques and made his NHL debut during the 1980-81 season. He quickly established himself as a superstar and became one of the most prolific goal-scorers of his era. Goulet played 15 seasons in the NHL; 10 with the Nordiques and five with the Chicago Blackhawks, before retiring in 1994. He finished his NHL career with 548 goals and 1,089 points in 1,089 games, ranking in the top 25 of all-time goal scorers at the time of his retirement.
Throughout his career, Goulet was named to five NHL All-Star Games and won two Lady Byng Trophies for sportsmanship and gentlemanly conduct. He was also inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1998 in recognition of his outstanding career. Goulet was one of the most talented and dedicated players of his generation, and his contributions to the game of hockey will always be remembered.
