Mickey Redmond Autographs
Mickey Redmond is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada, born on December 27, 1947. He is best known for his successful career as a right winger with the Montreal Canadiens, Detroit Red Wings, and the Michigan Stags. Redmond was drafted by the Canadiens in 1964 but struggled with injuries during his time there. In 1971, he was traded to the Red Wings, where he developed into one of the league's most dangerous goal scorers.
Redmond's most successful season was in 1972-73, where he scored an astonishing 52 goals, making him the first player in Red Wings history to reach the milestone. He played nine seasons with the Red Wings, resulting in an impressive 309 goals, 276 assists, and 585 points. Even after his career ended, he would stay connected to the sport by becoming a successful broadcaster for CBS, Red Wings, and also for Fox Sports Detroit. His impressive hockey career led to his induction into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1994.
Redmond's career was not without its challenges, however. He was forced to retire from the game at the young age of 33 due to a back injury. Redmond's legacy as a hockey player remains strong, though, and he remains one of the most respected names in the sport.
