Mika Zibanejad is a Swedish professional ice hockey center who currently plays for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on April 18, 1993, in Stockholm, Sweden, and began his hockey career playing for the HC Djurgårdens youth program. Zibanejad made his NHL debut with the Senators during the 2011-2012 season, playing in nine games before being sent back to Djurgårdens IF. He returned to the Senators for the 2012-2013 season, where he played in all 48 games of the shortened season and was a key player in the team's playoff run. In 2016, Zibanejad was traded to the New York Rangers, where he has since grown into one of the team's top offensive players.
