Mike Ricci Autographs

Mike Ricci was born on October 27, 1971, in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. He is a retired professional ice hockey player who played exclusively in the National Hockey League (NHL) during his career. Ricci began playing hockey during his childhood years and developed a love for the sport. He progressed through the ranks of minor hockey in the Greater Toronto Area before being recruited by the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) at the age of sixteen.
Mike Ricci was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the first round, fourth overall, of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. He played his first NHL game with the Flyers in 1990 and stayed until 1992, helping the team to reach the Stanley Cup finals in 1997. In 1992, the Flyers traded Ricci to the Quebec Nordiques where he played three seasons, setting his personal bests for goals and points in a single season. In 1995, the Nordiques relocated to Denver and became the Colorado Avalanche, and Ricci was a central figure in the team’s success, securing a Stanley Cup championship in 1996 in a memorable seven-game series against the Florida Panthers.
Mike Ricci played the last seven seasons of his professional career with the San Jose Sharks after a trade in 1997. Known for his work ethic and professional demeanor, Ricci became one of the Sharks’ most reliable players, a respected team leader, and a favorite among San Jose’s fan base. In 2003, Ricci helped the Sharks reach their first-ever Western Conference finals, cementing himself as one of the most beloved players in franchise history. He retired from hockey in 2007, having played in 1,099 regular-season games with 291 goals and 407 assists. Ricci is currently working as a player development coach with the Sharks.
