Mike Richter Autographs
Mike Richter was born on September 22, 1966, in Abington, Pennsylvania. He is a former American professional ice hockey goaltender who spent his entire career playing for the New York Rangers. Richter began his career by playing college hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he played from 1985 to 1987. He was then drafted by the New York Rangers in the second round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft.
Richter made his debut for the Rangers during the 1989-90 season, and quickly established himself as one of the most talented goaltenders in the NHL. He was widely recognized for his lightning-fast reactions, excellent position sense, and unparalleled competitiveness. During his time with the Rangers, Richter became a fan favorite and a revered member of the team. He played for 14 seasons with the Rangers, and retired in 2003 after a memorable career that included winning the Stanley Cup in 1994.
Richter is widely regarded as one of the greatest goaltenders in NHL history. He finished his career with a record of 301-258-73, along with a 2.89 goals-against average and 24 shutouts. He was named to three NHL All-Star teams, and he won numerous awards and accolades throughout his illustrious career. In addition to his on-ice success, Richter was also admired for his charitable work and dedication to environmental causes. Today, he remains a beloved figure in the world of hockey, and his legacy continues to inspire new generations of players and fans alike.
