Mike Richter was born on September 22, 1966, in Abington, Pennsylvania. He is a former American professional ice hockey goaltender who spent his entire career playing for the New York Rangers. Richter began his career by playing college hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he played from 1985 to 1987.
