Miro Heiskanen is a Finnish professional ice hockey defenseman who currently plays for the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on July 18, 1999, in Espoo, Finland. He began playing hockey as a child and quickly showed immense talent and potential.
Heiskanen started his professional career with HIFK in the Finnish Liiga, where he played for two seasons from 2016 to 2018. He then signed with the Dallas Stars in 2018 and made his NHL debut on October 4, 2018, against the Arizona Coyotes. In his debut season, Heiskanen proved to be a valuable player for the Stars, scoring 12 goals and 21 assists in 82 games. He also helped the Stars reach the playoffs, where they reached the Second Round.
Heiskanen has continued to shine in the NHL and is considered one of the best young defensemen in the league. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie Team in 2019 and has been selected to the NHL All-Star Game twice in 2020 and 2021. He is known for his exceptional skating ability, strong defensive skills, and his ability to contribute offensively. Heiskanen's future in the NHL looks very promising as he continues to develop and establish himself as one of the league's top players.
