Miroslav Satan Autographs
Miroslav Satan is a former Slovakian professional ice hockey player born in Topoľčany, Czechoslovakia in 1974. Satan had a successful career, playing in the NHL for 14 seasons with various teams, including the Edmonton Oilers, Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Boston Bruins. He was known for his pure goal-scoring ability, as well as his fast skating and quick hands. Satan also played for the Slovakian national team, representing his country in numerous international competitions, including the Winter Olympics, the World Cup of Hockey, and the IIHF World Championships.
Satan began his professional hockey career in the Slovak Extraliga before being drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round in 1993. He made his NHL debut with the Oilers in the 1995-1996 season, scoring 18 goals in his rookie year. He went on to have his best seasons with the Buffalo Sabres, where he played for nine seasons and became recognized as a top goal scorer in the league. Satan scored over 30 goals in five different seasons, including a career-high of 40 goals in the 1998-1999 season. He finished his NHL career with 363 goals and 735 points in 1050 games.
After retiring from professional hockey in 2014, Satan continued to be involved in the sport, serving in management roles for the Slovakian national team and working as a special advisor to the general manager for the Buffalo Sabres. Satan was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2019, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the international ice hockey community.
