Nathan Walker Autographs
Nathan Walker is an Australian professional hockey player who is currently playing for the HC Vitkovice Steel of the Czech Extraliga. He was born on February 7, 1994, in Cardiff, Wales, and raised in Sydney, Australia. Walker began playing ice hockey at a young age in Australia, participating in the AIHL (Australian Ice Hockey League) for the Sydney Ice Dogs. He quickly caught the attention of scouts and was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the third round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Walker's professional hockey career began with the Capitals-affiliated Hershey Bears, where he played for four seasons from 2014 to 2018. He made his NHL debut with the Capitals in the 2017-2018 season, becoming the first Australian to play in the NHL. Walker then signed with the Edmonton Oilers in 2018, spending time with the Bakersfield Condors in the AHL before being claimed off waivers by the St. Louis Blues. In 2019, he signed with SC Bern of the Swiss National League before returning to North America to play for the AHL's San Antonio Rampage.
In addition to his professional play, Walker has represented Australia in international competitions, including the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) World Championships. He helped lead Australia's national team to a gold medal in the Division II A tournament in 2011 and was named the tournament's best forward. Walker has continued to represent Australia in international competitions to this day, including serving as team captain in 2019. Throughout his hockey career, Nathan Walker has shown great perseverance and dedication, paving the way for other Australian athletes to pursue careers in ice hockey.
