Peter Laviolette Autographs
Peter Laviolette was born on December 7th, 1964, in Franklin, Massachusetts. Laviolette showed a keen interest in hockey from an early age and began his career as a player in the NCAA Division I hockey league. He played for Westfield State College and earned a reputation as a strong centerman. However, his career as a player ended in 1986, and he began coaching youth and high school hockey teams in the United States.
In 1997, Laviolette became an assistant coach for the Boston Bruins and helped the team reach the playoffs in his first year. Laviolette moved on to coach the New York Islanders in 2001, leading the team to their first playoff appearance in eight years. After a brief stint with the Carolina Hurricanes, Laviolette was named head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2009. Under his leadership, the Flyers made it to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2010, but were eventually defeated by the Chicago Blackhawks. Laviolette's impressive coaching record led to him being named the head coach for the Nashville Predators in 2014, where he led the team to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2017.
Throughout his career, Laviolette has proven himself to be one of the most successful coaches in the NHL. He has coached over 1,200 games and has a regular season record of 637-425-124. Laviolette is known for his aggressive coaching style, which has helped his teams win games and championships. His dedication to the sport is evident by his impressive career as both a player and coach, and his passion for hockey has influenced countless players and fans alike.
