Philippe Sauve Autographs
Philippe Sauve is a retired professional hockey player who was born in France in 1980. He grew up playing hockey in Quebec, Canada and was drafted 38th overall by the Colorado Avalanche in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. As a rookie, Sauve played for the Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League before making his NHL debut in 2000. He played backup goalie for the Avalanche for two seasons before being traded to the Montreal Canadiens in 2003.
After playing for the Canadiens for three seasons, Sauve was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes in 2006. He spent two seasons with the Coyotes before being traded again, this time to the Boston Bruins. He played in the Bruins' organization for two seasons before deciding to pursue opportunities overseas. Sauve finished his playing career in Switzerland, where he played for four seasons before retiring in 2014.
Throughout his hockey career, Sauve was known for his skill and technique as a goalie. He had a successful junior career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League before being drafted into the NHL. Although he was never a starting goalie in the NHL, he was able to play 63 games in the league and served as a reliable backup for the teams he played for. Sauve has since retired from hockey and is currently working in Canada as a financial advisor.
