Ray Shero Autographs
Ray Shero is an American hockey executive who boasts an impressive resume in the world of sports. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1962, Shero graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1984, where he was a member of the men's hockey team. Following graduation, he spent several years as a player and assistant coach before joining the front office of the Ottawa Senators as assistant general manager in 1993.
Shero quickly established himself as a rising star in the NHL, earning a reputation as a front office executive capable of making savvy trades and identifying hidden talent in the draft. He served as assistant general manager for the Senators from 1993 to 1998 and then moved on to the Nashville Predators, where he worked as assistant general manager from 1998 to 2006. In 2006, Shero was hired as general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins, a role in which he helped build what would become one of the most dominant teams in the NHL. During his tenure, the Penguins won the Stanley Cup in 2009 and 2016 while making multiple other deep playoff runs.
Outside of his work in the front office, Shero is also known for his involvement in various charitable organizations. He has worked with organizations such as the Mario Lemieux Foundation, the United Way, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and has been recognized for his contributions to these and other causes. Shero's innovative and forward-thinking approach to team management, combined with his dedication to making a positive impact on his community, has made him one of the most respected figures in the world of hockey.
