Rico Fata Autographs
Rico Fata is a former ice hockey player who was born on February 12, 1980, in Ontario, Canada. Fata began his hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), where he played for the London Knights for three seasons from 1996 to 1999. His exceptional performance caught the eye of several National Hockey League (NHL) teams, and he was eventually selected as the eighth overall pick in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames.
Fata's professional hockey career spanned over thirteen years, and he played for six different teams during that time. After signing with the Calgary Flames in 1999, he spent four seasons with the team, where he developed into a reliable forward and earned a reputation for his excellent speed and skating abilities. In 2003, Fata was traded to the New York Rangers, where he played for two seasons before moving on to play for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Atlanta Thrashers, and the Washington Capitals. He also played two seasons in the Swiss National League A for SC Bern before retiring from professional hockey in 2012.
Throughout his hockey career, Fata was known for his strong work ethic, discipline, and determination. He was a versatile player who could play multiple positions, including left and right-wing and center. Fata's hockey career highlights include representing Team Canada in international tournaments, winning a gold medal at the 2003 World Championships, and being named to the 1999 OHL All-Rookie Team. After his retirement, Fata worked as an assistant coach for the Peterborough Petes of the OHL for a season before joining the Blackfalds Wranglers of the Heritage Junior Hockey League as their head coach.
