Rob Davison Autographs
Rob Davison is a former Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL). Born on May 1, 1980, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Davison started playing hockey at a very young age. He played his amateur hockey for Dofasco and Welland Tigers before joining the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Kingston Frontenacs in 1997.
In 1998, Davison was drafted in the fourth round, 98th overall, by the San Jose Sharks. He was assigned to the Sharks' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Kentucky Thoroughblades, where he played for one season before making his NHL debut in the 2001-2002 season. Davison would go on to play four seasons with the Sharks before moving on to play for the New York Islanders, Vancouver Canucks, and New Jersey Devils. He retired in 2012 after playing a total of 288 NHL games and scoring 9 goals and 27 assists.
Throughout his hockey career, Davison was known for his gritty and physical play, and he was a fearless defender who would put his body on the line for his team. He was also a strong penalty killer and was often paired with more offensive-minded defensemen. While Davison may not have been a superstar player, he was a reliable defenseman who could be counted on to compete hard every night.
