Rob Ray is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. He was born on June 8, 1968, in Stirling, Ontario. Ray played for sixteen seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) and is best remembered for his long and successful career with the Buffalo Sabres. Ray made his NHL debut in the 1989-90 season with the Sabres. He quickly established himself as a valuable player on the roster, earning the title of team enforcer. Over his career, he fought over 250 times, earning a reputation as one of the most feared enforcers in the league. Despite his role as an enforcer, Ray was also a skilled player.
