Rollie Melanson Autographs

Rollie Melanson, born on June 28, 1960, in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, is a retired professional hockey goaltender who played for 16 seasons. He began his career in junior hockey, playing for the Verdun Black Jacks before moving on to play for the Montreal Juniors. Melanson was selected by the New York Islanders in the third round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft.
Melanson's professional career took off in the 1984-85 season, where he played as a backup goalie for the Islanders. But it was in the 1987-88 season that he made his mark on the league, helping the Islanders reach the Wales Conference finals, and finishing third in voting for the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender. He went on to play for several other NHL teams, including the Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota North Stars, and the Montreal Canadiens, where he won a Stanley Cup championship in 1993. After retiring as a player, Melanson became a goaltending coach, working with the Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens, and the Winnipeg Jets.
