Ron Harris Autographs

Ron Harris was an accomplished English professional soccer player who played as a defender for the Chelsea Football Club from 1961 to 1980. Known for his toughness and leadership skills, he was known as "Chopper" among his fans and admirers. Born in Hackney, East London, Harris joined Chelsea as an apprentice in 1961 at the age of 17 and made his professional debut for the club in 1962 against Sheffield Wednesday. He went on to play 795 games for Chelsea, which remains a club record to this day.
Harris was an integral part of the Chelsea squad that won the FA Cup in 1970, the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1971, and the UEFA Cup in 1971. He also led the club as its captain from 1969 to 1975, during which time he led them to several league and cup competitions. During his time at the club, he played alongside several other legendary players such as Peter Osgood, Dave Sexton, and Eddie McCreadie, and was an essential part of the team's success during the 1960s and 1970s.
After retiring from playing soccer, Harris spent a few years in management and coaching, before eventually taking up a career in broadcasting as a pundit and commentator. He was inducted into the Chelsea Football Club Hall of Fame in 2004 and remains a popular figure among fans of the club. His tough but fair attitude on the pitch, combined with his impressive leadership skills, ensured that he will forever be remembered as one of Chelsea's all-time greats.
