Ryan Hollweg Autographs
Ryan Hollweg is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who was born on April 23, 1983, in Downey, California. He grew up playing ice hockey in Etobicoke, Ontario, and wasn't drafted by any Major Junior team until his hardworking performances caught the attention of Calgary Flames scouts in 2001. The Flames picked him in the eighth round of the NHL Entry Draft, signed him to a contract, and assigned him to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate team in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Hollweg made his way to the National Hockey League (NHL) with the New York Rangers in 2005. Despite his small size, he immediately built a reputation as a scrappy and fearless player who's willing to throw his body to make plays happen. Hollweg's skills as an agitator and enforcer made him a perfect fit on the Rangers' fourth line, where he played alongside Colton Orr and Blair Betts to form one of the most physical trios in the entire league. He played three seasons with the Blueshirts before getting traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2008.
Hollweg eventually retired from professional ice hockey in 2014, having played ten seasons in total. He played in a total of 228 NHL games, scoring six goals and 11 assists while racking up 671 penalty minutes. Even though he never played on a championship team, Hollweg remained one of the most beloved players among Rangers fans for his grit, passion, and dedication to the game. Today, he remains involved in hockey development programs and charity work, helping young players achieve their dreams of playing professional hockey.
