Ryan Spooner Autographs
Ryan Spooner is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey centerman who was born on January 30, 1992, in Ottawa, Ontario. Spooner started playing hockey at a young age, and his passion for the game never stopped. In 2008, he played for the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League, where he was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the second round, 45th overall, in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
In the 2012-2013 season, Spooner appeared in four games with the Boston Bruins, recording his first NHL point with an assist. He spent much of his time playing for Providence Bruins of the AHL before being called back up to Boston in 2014. For the next few years, Spooner alternated between Boston and Providence, and he emerged as one of Boston's top offensive players in the 2015-2016 season.
Spooner signed with the New York Rangers in July 2018, before being traded to the Edmonton Oilers in November 2018. After playing in 25 games with the Oilers and recording two goals and one assist, Spooner was waived, and the Vancouver Canucks claimed him off waivers. In Vancouver, Spooner played in 11 games and recorded three assists. Spooner announced his retirement from professional ice hockey in February 2021, and he will be remembered as a skilled offensive player who always gave his best on the ice.
