Ryan Walter Autographs
Ryan Walter is a former professional ice hockey player from Canada. Walter was born on April 23, 1958, in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada. He began his hockey career in the Western Hockey League (WHL), playing for the Seattle Breakers before moving on to the Washington Capitals, which drafted him in their second round in 1978. Walter played with the Capitals, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Vancouver Canucks teams over his 15-year career in the NHL.
Ryan Walter's significant contributions to his teams throughout his career were remarkable. During his time with the Canadiens, he played a crucial role in the team's 1986 Stanley Cup victory. During the 1990-91 season with the Vancouver Canucks, Walter was named the team's captain. In total, he played in over 1,100 games in the NHL, scoring 355 goals and 958 points.
Ryan Walter's hockey success didn't stop in his playing career. In 1993, he became the assistant coach of the Vancouver Canucks, and he later joined the Anaheim Ducks as their assistant coach in 2000. Walter's leadership qualities also resulted in him co-authoring a book (The Power of More: How Small Steps Can Help You Achieve Big Goals) in 2010, which dealt with leadership and self-improvement. In 2017, Walter was given the NHL Alumni Association's Pat Quinn Award in recognition of his contributions to hockey and his leadership off the ice.
