Sean Avery Autographs
Sean Avery is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who had a 12-year career in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on April 10, 1980, in Pickering, Ontario, Canada, and was known for his aggressive playing style and on-ice antics. Avery initially played two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for the Owen Sound Platers, then moved on to play with the Kingston Frontenacs and moved up to the NHL in 2001 with the Detroit Red Wings.
Avery played for five different teams over the course of his NHL career, which spanned from 2001 to 2012. He played primarily as a left winger and was known for his ability to agitate his opponents on the ice. Avery was a key role player on the Dallas Stars team that reached the Western Conference finals in 2008. In total, he played in 580 NHL games, scoring 90 goals and 247 points, and was one of the most controversial figures of his generation, receiving numerous suspensions for on-ice incidents throughout his career.
Sean Avery is also known for his activism off the ice. He supported the legalization of same-sex marriage and was a vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. He has worked in the fashion industry after hockey, as a model and consultant, and briefly served as a co-host on Bravo's hit show, "Watch What Happens Live." While Avery's playing career was at times tumultuous, he remains a polarizing figure in both the hockey and entertainment worlds.
