Shawn Horcoff Autographs
Shawn Horcoff is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 16 seasons. He was born on September 17, 1978, in Trail, British Columbia, Canada. Horcoff grew up playing hockey in his hometown and went on to play at Michigan State University before being selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1998 NHL Draft.
Horcoff spent the majority of his professional hockey career with the Edmonton Oilers, where he played from 2000 to 2013. He served as team captain for three seasons and helped lead the Oilers to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2006. During his tenure with the team, he became known for his defensive and faceoff skills, as well as his ability to contribute offensively, with a career-high 73 points in the 2005-2006 season.
In addition to his time with the Oilers, Horcoff also played for the Dallas Stars, Anaheim Ducks, and the St. Louis Blues. Over the course of his NHL career, he tallied 484 points in 1,008 games. After retiring from professional hockey in 2016, Horcoff joined the Detroit Red Wings as director of player development, where he continues to work with young players and contribute to the sport that he loves.
