Stephane Fiset Autographs
Stephane Fiset was born on June 17, 1970, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He started playing ice hockey at a very young age and showed immense talent and passion for the sport. In 1986, he started his junior hockey career with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's St. Hyacinthe Laser. As a goalie, Fiset made a solid impression in his early years with the Laser and was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in 1988.
Fiset played his first three seasons in the NHL with the Quebec Nordiques, serving as a backup to Ron Hextall. In the 1994-95 season, he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings and proved to be a consistently reliable goaltender, recording 20 or more wins for four consecutive seasons. In the 1997-98 season, Fiset helped lead the Kings to the playoffs but suffered an injury that forced him to miss the remainder of the playoffs. He did not play for the entire following season and retired in 2002. Fiset appeared in 408 regular-season games with a record of 160-149-51, 16 shutouts, and a 2.82 goals-against average.
Stephane Fiset's hockey career has been celebrated as one of the best goaltending careers in the NHL. He was an All-Star in 1996 and was awarded the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy in 1999 for his perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to the sport. He was an excellent performer, with accurate reflexes and the ability to anticipate the opponent. Fiset's extraordinary talent led him to a remarkable career that is still remembered as one of the great goaltending performances of all-time.
