Steve Shutt Autographs
Steve Shutt is a hockey legend who was born on July 1st, 1952 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He grew up in Canada, where he started playing hockey at a young age. Shutt began his professional career in 1972 with the Montreal Canadiens after being drafted in the fourth round. During his 12 seasons with the Canadiens, he became a key member of the team's offensive line, known as the "Firewagon Line."
Shutt's contributions to the Canadiens' success cannot be overstated. He played a crucial role in the team's four Stanley Cup wins between 1973 and 1979. During those playoff runs, he established himself as a clutch performer, scoring 19 goals and adding 16 assists in 20 games in 1977. At the end of his tenure with the Canadiens, Shutt had amassed an impressive 408 goals and 377 assists in 870 regular season games. He was a six-time All-Star and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1993.
Following his time with the Canadiens, Shutt played one season with the Los Angeles Kings before retiring in 1985. After his playing career, he became an analyst for Hockey Night in Canada and also spent time as a coach in the Western Hockey League. Shutt will forever be remembered as one of the greatest hockey players of all time, not only for his performance on the ice but also for his leadership and dedication to the sport.
