Steve Sullivan is a former Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent his entire NHL career playing for nine different teams. Born on July 6, 1974, in Timmins, Ontario, Sullivan started playing hockey at an early age and quickly showed signs of being a natural. His father, a former hockey player, was instrumental in his development as a player, and at the age of 16, Sullivan was drafted to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) by the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. Steve Sullivan is regarded as one of the most skilled players to have ever played professionally.
Sullivan’s style of play was characterized by his speed, agility, and stickhandling abilities, having an uncanny ability to score goals and make plays. He played his first NHL game for the New Jersey Devils during the 1995-96 season, but it wasn't until the following year that he solidified himself as an NHL regular playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks in 1999 and spent six seasons with the team and was instrumental in leading them to a playoff berth in 2002. In 2004, Sullivan was traded to the Nashville Predators and played for the team for seven seasons, earning the team’s captaincy in the process. He also helped the team reach its first-ever playoff series win in 2011. After a few more years in the NHL, Sullivan retired from professional hockey in 2014, ending an illustrious career in the sport.
Throughout his career, Steve Sullivan was a force to be reckoned with, having played in over 1,000 games and finishing his career with 290 goals and 457 assists.
