Teemu Selänne Autographs
Teemu Selänne, born on July 3, 1970, is a former Finnish professional ice hockey player. He played 21 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL) for teams such as Anaheim Ducks, Colorado Avalanche, San Jose Sharks, and Winnipeg Jets. Selänne began his career in Finland, playing for Jokerit in the SM-liiga before moving to North America in 1992.
Selänne's NHL debut was for the Winnipeg Jets in 1992, where he made a splash with his incredible speed and scoring prowess. In his first season, Selänne set a rookie record of 76 goals and 132 points, earning him the Calder Memorial Trophy for Rookie of the Year. He continued to put up high-scoring numbers throughout his career, earning him the nickname the "Finnish Flash."
Selänne also had a successful international career, representing Finland in numerous World Championships, Winter Olympics, and World Cup tournaments. He won a silver medal in the 2006 Winter Olympics and a bronze medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Selänne retired in 2014 with 1,457 points, ranking him 15th on the NHL's all-time points list. In 2017, he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Selänne's legacy continues to inspire and excite fans across the globe.
