Tim Taylor Autographs
Tim Taylor was a professional ice hockey player from Stratford, Connecticut. Born on February 6, 1969, he started playing competitive hockey during his childhood and attended Fairfield Preparatory School- an institution known for its prestigious hockey program. After graduating from high school, he went on to play for Yale University Bulldogs, where he excelled as a center.
In 1990, Taylor was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the fourth round of the NHL Entry Draft. Over the next decade, he played for different teams including the Hartford Whalers, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers. He is perhaps best known for his exceptional leadership skills and his success as a team player. In 2000, while playing for the Lightning, Taylor was awarded the King Clancy Memorial Trophy for his leadership on and off the ice.
Despite his achievements, Taylor's career was also marked by injuries, including a severe concussion that forced him to retire early in 2004. However, his love for hockey endured and he remained involved in the sport through coaching and mentorship. One of his most notable accomplishments in this role was coaching the USA team in the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championships, where the team won gold. Tragically, Tim Taylor passed away in April 2013 at the age of 52, but his contributions to the world of hockey and his commitment to the sport's development continue to inspire players and fans alike.
