Todd Ewen Autographs
Todd Ewen was a former ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League for 11 seasons. Born on March 22, 1966, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Ewen began his hockey career with the Western Hockey League (WHL) team, the New Westminster Bruins. He played for the Bruins for four seasons before he was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the eighth round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft.
Ewen played for five NHL teams during his career, including the St. Louis Blues, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, and San Jose Sharks. However, it was with the Montreal Canadiens where he earned his reputation as a tough enforcer. He played for the Canadiens for three seasons and was known for his physical play and aggressive style. During his career, Ewen played in a total of 518 games, scoring 36 goals and 40 assists, but more importantly, he amassed over 1,900 penalty minutes, making him one of the most intimidating players in the league.
After retiring from hockey in 1997, Ewen stayed in the sport and became a youth hockey coach. He also suffered from depression, which led to his tragic suicide on September 19, 2015, at the age of 49. Nevertheless, Ewen left a legacy as one of the NHL’s toughest enforcers, and his contributions to the sport will never be forgotten.
