Tom Wilson is a Canadian professional ice hockey player born on March 29, 1994, in Toronto, Ontario. He started playing hockey when he was just a young boy and ultimately became a dominant force in the NHL. Wilson played junior hockey for the Plymouth Whalers in the OHL for four seasons where he recorded 119 points and 402 penalty minutes in his rough and tough game style.
In 2012, Wilson was drafted by the Washington Capitals 16th overall, where he began his NHL career in 2013. At first, Wilson was mainly used as an enforcer to protect his teammates, but over the years, he became a mainstay on the Capitals' rosters. Wilson quickly became known for his hard and rugged play style, which got him suspended and fined several times. But Wilson's abilities were never underestimated, as he was instrumental in helping the Capitals win the Stanley Cup in 2018, scoring 15 points in that playoff run.
Throughout his career, Wilson has continued to build his reputation as one of the league's most physically dominant players.
