Toni Lydman Autographs
Toni Lydman is a former Finnish professional ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 12 seasons. He was born on September 25, 1977, in Lahti, Finland, and started playing ice hockey in his hometown. Lydman played for the Finnish club Tappara before being drafted by the Calgary Flames in 1996.
Lydman spent most of his NHL career with the Anaheim Ducks, playing for the team from 2005 to 2013. He was known for his solid defensive play and strong skating abilities. Lydman helped the Ducks win the Stanley Cup in 2007, contributing 10 points in 21 playoff games. He also represented Finland in several international tournaments, including the Winter Olympics, World Championships, and World Cup of Hockey.
In total, Lydman played in 847 NHL games and scored 36 goals and 173 assists. He retired from professional hockey in 2014, citing health concerns related to a history of concussions. Lydman remains involved in hockey as a coach and advisor, sharing his experience and knowledge with young players. He is remembered as a reliable and hardworking defenseman who always gave his best on and off the ice.
