Troy Murray Autographs

Troy MurrayTroy Murray was a former professional ice hockey player who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for 15 seasons from 1982 to 1997. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1962, he started his hockey career playing junior hockey for the Regina Pats in the Western Hockey League (WHL). He was drafted in the third round (57th overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft.
Murray spent most of his career with the Blackhawks, playing a total of 12 seasons for the team. During his time with the Blackhawks, he became known for his solid two-way play and leadership on and off the ice. He helped the team reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs in five seasons, including a trip to the Stanley Cup Final in 1992 where they lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins. In 1986, he was awarded the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the NHL's best defensive forward after scoring 45 goals and adding 33 assists in 82 games played.
After leaving the Blackhawks, Murray played for the Ottawa Senators and the Colorado Avalanche before retiring from professional hockey in 1997. He finished his career with 916 games played, 230 goals, 354 assists and 584 points. After his playing career, he became a radio analyst for the Blackhawks and later the Winnipeg Jets. He was inducted into the Melfort and District Sports Hall of Fame in 1990 and the Regina Sports Hall of Fame in 1993.
