Victor Mete is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenseman who currently plays for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on June 7, 1998, in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada. Mete began playing hockey at a young age and developed his skills as a defenseman.
Mete was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the fourth round, 100th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He made his professional debut with the Canadiens during the 2017-18 season, appearing in 49 games and recording 7 points. During his time with the Canadiens, Mete was known for his speed and defensive skills on the ice.
In February 2021, Mete was traded to the Ottawa Senators where he joined the team’s defensive corps. Since joining the Senators, Mete has been a valuable asset to the team’s defense and has continued to develop his skills on the ice. With his age and talent, Mete is considered one of the top young defensemen in the league and is expected to have a bright future in the NHL.
