Wes Walz Autographs
Wes Walz is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent fourteen seasons in the NHL (National Hockey League). Walz was born on May 15, 1970, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He started playing hockey at a young age and eventually earned a spot on the WHL (Western Hockey League) team, the Lethbridge Broncos. In 1989, he was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the third round, and he made his NHL debut in 1990.
Walz was a versatile forward who was known for his strong defensive skills and penalty-killing ability. He spent the majority of his career with the Minnesota Wild, where he played for nine seasons from 2000 to 2008. During his time with the Wild, Walz was a fan favorite and a team leader, serving as an alternate captain for several seasons. He played in over 500 games for the team and scored 109 goals and 221 points. He also played for the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Detroit Red Wings.
Walz retired from hockey in 2008 at the age of 38. He finished his NHL career with 260 points in 607 games played. After retiring, Walz stayed involved in hockey as a coach and analyst. He was an assistant coach for the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Minnesota Wild before joining the broadcasting team for Fox Sports North, where he provides analysis and commentary for Wild games. Walz has also been involved in various community and charity initiatives throughout his career, showing his dedication to both the sport and the community.
