William Nylander Autographs
William Andrew Michael Junior Nylander was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1996. Nylander learned how to skate and play hockey as a child, following in the footsteps of his father Michael Nylander, who was an NHL player. When Nylander was six years old, his family moved to Sweden, where he continued to play hockey and developed his skills to become one of the most promising young talents in the sport.
Nylander was drafted eighth overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. After playing for the Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, Nylander made his NHL debut in February 2016. Since then, he has become a key player in the Maple Leafs' roster, known for his skilled stick handling, speed, and ability to generate offensive opportunities. In 2018, he signed a six-year contract extension with the Maple Leafs, solidifying his commitment to the team and securing his spot as one of the NHL's up-and-coming stars.
Nylander has also represented Sweden in international tournaments, winning a silver medal at the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championships and a gold medal at the 2017 IIHF World Championships. His success on the ice has earned him numerous accolades and recognition, including being named to the NHL All-Rookie Team and being selected to represent the Maple Leafs at the 2020 NHL All-Star Game. With his talent, dedication, and passion for the sport, Nylander is sure to continue making an impact in the NHL for years to come.
