Robert Scott, born on June 22, 1930, in Macon, Georgia, was a talented Negro league pitcher who made his mark in baseball during the late 1940s. At the young age of 16, Scott joined the New York Black Yankees in 1946, showcasing his skills on the mound for four seasons through 1950. His early entry into professional baseball demonstrated his exceptional talent and determination to succeed in a challenging era for African American athletes.

In 1950, he had the honor of playing with the Jackie Robinson All-Stars, a testament to his abilities and recognition within the baseball community.
