Gene Wilder was an American actor, comedian, and writer who was born on June 11, 1933 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He attended the University of Iowa, where he studied communication and theatre arts. In the 1960s, Wilder began his acting career in off-Broadway productions, before making his movie debut in Bonnie and Clyde in 1967. Wilder's movies career spanned several decades, during which he starred in numerous hit films.
