Michael J. Fox is a Canadian-American actor, comedian, author, and film producer. He was born on June 9, 1961, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He started his film career at the age of 18 with the movie “Midnight Madness” (1980), but his breakthrough came with the lead role in the 1985 movie “Back to the Future.” His portrayal of the teenage time traveler Marty McFly became a cultural icon and cemented his place in Hollywood.
Throughout his career, Michael J. Fox starred in a number of hit movies, including “Secret of My Success” (1987), “The Hard Way” (1991), and “Doc Hollywood” (1991). He also acted in “Casualties of War” (1989), a dramatic role that demonstrated his range and versatility as an actor. In 1993, he starred alongside Gabrielle Anwar and Anthony Hopkins in the movie “Shadowlands,” which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
