Vincent Price was an American actor, born on May 27, 1911, in St. Louis, Missouri. He began his career as a stage actor in the 1930s, but gained widespread recognition for his performances in horror films during the late 1950s to early 1970s. Price's classic horror roles began in the movie "House of Wax" in 1953, where he played as the mad and disfigured museum keeper who sought to create lifelike wax figures of his victims. Aside from his work in horror films, Price's long and successful career included a variety of roles in different genres such as drama, comedy, and even voice-over work. In the 1980s, he lent his voice to the popular board game "Clue" and was the host of the PBS television series "Mystery!" until his retirement. Price continued to be an influential figure in the horror genre long after his death in 1993, and he remains one of the most beloved figures in the history of horror cinema.
