Adam Horovitz Autographs
Adam Horovitz, also known as Ad-Rock, is an American musician, actor, and rapper best known as a member of the hip hop group the Beastie Boys. Born in New York City in 1966, Horovitz began his musical career early on, playing bass guitar in several punk and hardcore bands throughout his teenage years. In 1982, he joined the Beastie Boys as a guitarist and quickly became a pivotal member of the group.
As a part of the Beastie Boys, Horovitz helped propel the group to fame with their debut album "Licensed to Ill", which became the first rap album to top the Billboard 200 chart. Their subsequent albums, including "Paul's Boutique" and "Check Your Head", further showcased the group's eclectic style, blending elements of punk, funk, and rap. Horovitz's contributions to the group included his guitar playing, backing vocals, and his clever and often humorous lyrical style.
After the Beastie Boys disbanded in 2012 due to the death of member Adam Yauch, Horovitz continued to stay active in the music world. He worked on various projects, including collaborations with musicians such as Kathleen Hanna and Bridget Everett. Throughout his career, Horovitz has been recognized for his contributions to music, receiving multiple Grammy and MTV Video Music Awards, as well as being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 as a member of the Beastie Boys.
