Dave Hunter Autographs
Dave Hunter is a former professional ice hockey player and coach known for his gritty style of play on the ice. Born on January 1, 1958, in Petrolia, Ontario, he started playing hockey at a young age and played for the Sarnia Legionnaires of the OHA before being drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 1978. He played for the Canadiens for six seasons, winning two Stanley Cups with the team in 1981 and 1986. He then went on to play for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Edmonton Oilers, and Quebec Nordiques before retiring in 1993.
Throughout his career, Dave Hunter was known for his physical and defensive style of play. He was a versatile player and could play both as a forward and defenseman, with a focus on playing a checking role. He was admired by his teammates and opponents for his toughness, hard work, and leadership on and off the ice. He finished his career with 62 goals, 97 assists, and 1,164 penalty minutes in 746 games.
After retiring from playing, Dave Hunter became a coach and worked with various minor league teams, including the Dayton Bombers, Arkansas GlacierCats, and Shreveport Mudbugs. In 2013, he founded the Dave Hunter Hockey Academy, where he teaches young players the skills and strategies needed to excel in hockey. Overall, Dave Hunter's contribution to the sport of hockey, both as a player and coach, has cemented his legacy as one of the toughest and most respected players in the game.
