Dolly Parton, born on January 19, 1946, is an American singer, songwriter, actress, author, and businesswoman. She grew up in a poor family in Sevier County, Tennessee, and started performing in church and at local radio stations at an early age. She moved to Nashville in 1964 to pursue her music career, and soon signed with Monument Records. Her early hits included “Dumb Blonde” and “Just Because I’m a Woman”. More about Dolly Parton
