Joe Perry was born on September 10, 1950, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, USA. Perry is an American guitarist, songwriter, and member of the famed rock band, Aerosmith. He began his musical career at a young age and learned how to play the guitar from his father, an engineering draftsman. Perry's passion for music led him to form his first band, the Jam Band, while he was in high school.
