Darryl Grant Autographs
Darryl Grant was born on June 22, 1959, in Washington D.C. He played college football at Rice University, where he starred as a defensive tackle for the Owls. Grant was selected in the ninth round of the 1981 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins.
Grant established himself as a key player for the Redskins, who won Super Bowl XVII during his rookie season. During his six seasons in Washington, Grant appeared in 94 games, starting in 69 of them. He helped the Redskins win two Super Bowls and was part of one of the most formidable defensive lines in NFL history. He was known for his strength and toughness, and he quickly became one of the league's most feared pass rushers.
After his stint with the Redskins, Grant played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for one season before retiring in 1989. Following his professional football career, Grant went on to serve as an assistant coach for several teams, including the Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals. He has also been involved in a variety of philanthropic endeavors, including founding the Darryl Grant Foundation, which helps disadvantaged children access educational and recreational programs.
