Hope Solo Autographs
Hope Solo is an American former professional soccer goalkeeper who is widely regarded as one of the best female goalkeepers of all time. Born in Richland, Washington, in 1981, Solo made her debut for the United States national team in 2000 and went on to represent her country at three World Cups, three Olympic Games, and two Confederation Cups. She was a dominant presence between the sticks, earning over 150 caps for the national team before retiring from international football in 2016.
Solo began her professional career with the Philadelphia Charge in 2003 before moving to the Saint Louis Athletica in 2009. She returned to the Seattle Sounders Women in 2012, where she played until 2013. Solo is perhaps best known for her time with the Seattle Reign FC, where she played from 2013 to 2016. During her tenure with the Reign, she earned three NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year awards and led her team to consecutive NWSL Shield titles in 2014 and 2015.
Despite her on-field success, Solo's career was not without controversy. In 2015, she was suspended from the national team for six months after making critical comments about her coach and teammates at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She was also involved in legal issues, including a domestic violence case in which charges were later dropped. Despite these challenges, Solo remains a celebrated figure in the world of soccer and a trailblazer for female athletes worldwide.
