Kelsey Plum is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Las Vegas Aces of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Born on August 24, 1994, in Poway, California, Plum developed an early passion for basketball and played her high school ball at La Jolla Country Day School. Plum's illustrious basketball career began in high school, where she led La Jolla Country Day to four consecutive state championships, earning the state player of the year award three years in a row. She went on to play college basketball for the Washington Huskies, where she became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA women's basketball history. Her highlight season came in 2017 when she led the NCAA in scoring, averaging 31.7 points per game, and was unanimously voted the national player of the year. She was also the first overall pick by the Las Vegas Aces in the 2017 WNBA draft.
