Nik Antropov Autographs
Nik Antropov is a retired Kazakhstani professional ice hockey player who had an outstanding career in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on January 18, 1980, in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakh SSR, Soviet Union. Antropov started playing hockey at a young age and quickly developed a passion for the sport. He began his professional career with the Omsk Avangard of the Russian Superleague. In 1998, Antropov was drafted 10th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs, and that's where he began his NHL journey.
Antropov spent six seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he became an essential player for the team. He scored 21 goals in the 2002-2003 season, setting a career-high for goals and points (48). In February 2009, Antropov was traded to the New York Rangers, where he played until the end of the season. After that, he signed a four-year contract with the Atlanta Thrashers, during which he played the best hockey of his career. In 2010-2011, Antropov scored a career-high of 45 points, and during his tenure with the Thrashers, he recorded 123 points in 224 games.
Antropov's professional career spanned over 13 seasons, during which he played for four NHL teams. He was known for his size and strength, which made him an unstoppable force on the ice. Antropov was an excellent playmaker and had a tremendous scoring ability, making him a valuable asset to his teams. He amassed an impressive 465 points, including 171 goals and 294 assists, in 788 NHL games. After retiring from professional hockey, Antropov returned to his home country and worked as a player development coach for the Barys Astana of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
