Tom Bradley Autographs
Tom Bradley was an American professional baseball player who played as a pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Chicago White Sox. Bradley was born on September 29, 1947, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and grew up in the city of Los Angeles, California. He played baseball and football in high school, but it was his prowess on the baseball diamond that earned him a scholarship to attend college at the University of Oklahoma.
After graduating from college in 1969, Bradley was signed by the Philadelphia Phillies as an amateur free agent. He made his MLB debut in 1972 and went on to pitch for the Phillies for four seasons. Bradley was known for his powerful fastball and his ability to strike out batters. He recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts in a game against the Montreal Expos in 1973. In 1976, Bradley was traded to the Chicago White Sox, where he played for two seasons before retiring from professional baseball in 1978.
Although Bradley's MLB career was relatively short, he left a lasting impression on the game of baseball. He finished his career with a record of 26 wins and 33 losses, with an ERA of 4.06. After retiring from baseball, Bradley went on to work as a teacher and coach in Los Angeles. He remained involved in the sport of baseball, coaching Little League teams and serving as a mentor to young athletes. Bradley passed away on August 1, 2018, but his legacy as a skilled pitcher and a dedicated coach continues to inspire young athletes today.
