Larry Dixon Autographs
Larry Dixon is a former American drag racer born in Van Nuys, California, on October 23, 1966. He grew up with a passion for cars and racing, and from a young age, he knew that he wanted to pursue a career in motorsports. Dixon's racing career began in the early 1990s when he joined the legendary team owned by Don Prudhomme, serving as a crew member for several years before finally realizing his dream of becoming a professional drag racer.
Dixon's talent behind the wheel soon became apparent, and he quickly rose through the ranks of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), winning his first race in 1995 at the Winston Select Invitational. He went on to have a hugely successful career, winning three NHRA Top Fuel championships in 2002, 2003, and 2010. Over the course of his career, Dixon won a total of 62 NHRA national events, making him one of the all-time greats in the sport. He also held several records, including the quickest Top Fuel elapsed time in NHRA history, which he set in 2009 at 3.771 seconds.
In addition to his success on the track, Dixon has also been recognized for his contributions to the sport as a whole. In 2008, he was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, and he has been named the NHRA Driver of the Year three times. After retiring from racing in 2017, Dixon went on to become a commentator for Fox Sports, bringing his expertise and insight to racing fans around the world. Today, he remains one of the most respected and beloved figures in the world of drag racing, a testament to his dedication, talent, and hard work.
